Dr Jatinder Randhawa (Psychiatrist)

Dr. Randhawa is a general adult psychiatrist with special training in psychotherapy, particularly CBT, ACT, Mindfulness, and Imaginal Exposure Therapy for post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Dr. Randhawa uses a combination of medication and therapies in his practice. His special interests are Anxiety Disorders, Mood Disorders including Depression and Bipolar, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Dementia, Borderline Personality Disorder, and Psycho-Endocrinology.


He has specialist qualifications in Psychiatry from Australia as well as the UK, i.e., a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists and a Member of The Royal College of Psychiatrists, UK. He qualified as a Medical Doctor in 2000 and has over 12 years of clinical experience in Psychiatry. He trained in Psychiatry in the UK, where he worked for approximately 7 years.


Additionally, he has Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) from the UK . He has also trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy in Australia. He brings along years of personal experience and practice of Mindfulness, Yoga and Meditation. His approach with clients is holistic, person-centred and thoroughly evidence-based. Although he identifies himself with the CBT and Mindfulness tradition, his approach to talking therapies is existential and eclectic (using combination of therapy models).
