Dr. Jane Read graduated with an MBBS from the University of Sydney in 2010. She did most of her hospital training at Prince of Wales hospital and the Royal Women’s hospital before entering the GP training program. She is currently a GP registrar in the final year of her fellowship training. She started at Dee Why General Practice in 2017 and is registered with the antenatal shared-care program. She has interests in women’s health, paediatrics, chronic disease and preventative medicine for the whole family. Jane also holds a Master’s degree in nutrition/dietetics and prior to doing medicine, she worked as a dietitian, completing a PhD in the area of nutrition and oncology. She has published articles in international peer- reviewed journals and academic textbooks. Outside of being a GP, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 children, going on morning walks, swimming and all things healthy and active!
