I grew up in Orange and completed my medical degree at Sydney University in 1993. After graduation, I completed my internship and resident year at Gosford Hospital where as well as gaining medical knowledge and skills, I honed my talent as a body boarder. On moving to Sydney, I completed a Diploma in Obstetrics and did six months of Palliative Care at St Vincents Hospital, Darlinghurst. My GP training commenced in the far north NSW town of Nimbin where, as well as consulting, I was on call for the local hospital. From Nimbin, I worked in Mullumbimby and then relocated to Orange for a year. I moved to Newcastle in 1999 to work as a GP in Elermore Vale. In 2003 my family and I moved to Holland for 12 months for my husband’s work but returned in 2004 when I commenced practice at Hamilton. I enjoy all aspects of general practice - from paediatrics through adolescents to the elderly. Mental health care makes up a large part of my work day to day. I love music and spending time with my family and other animals.
