Dr Jamie Clarey did post-graduate medicine from the University of Sydney 2009, following a Bachelor of Engineering (Bioinformatics) from the University of NSW in 2005. She did her residency in Newcastle at the John Hunter Hospital, Mater Hospital and Manning Base Hospital. In 2013, she joined Raymond Terrace Family Practice and has been here ever since. Dr Clarey has subspecialised in Women’s Health, with a Certificate in Sexual and Reproductive health, and is currently doing a Diploma in Child Health. She is also very interested in managing chronic diseases such as diabetes and heart disease. She also does some external teaching of medical students at University of Newcastle and has been involved in research. Outside of the practice, her interests include cooking, travelling, salsa dancing and knitting! She has recently started surfing lessons as well.
