I am a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. I completed my medical degree at the University of Sydney and have worked in major teaching hospitals in Sydney and Melbourne. I completed the final five years of my Obstetrics and Gynaecology training at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney, focusing on laparoscopic surgery and complicated obstetric care and management. During this time I completed a one year Allan Ferrier Memorial fellowship at North Shore Private Hospital where I focused on complex gynaecological surgery. I also have a special interest in working and teaching in developing countries including Rwanda and Nepal, and speaking at conferences in Australia and overseas. I continue to stay informed of all the latest research and advancements in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Prior to my medical training I was a fully qualified physiotherapist. I have found this very beneficial in assisting my antenatal patients with the changes that take place to their bodies during the course of pregnancy and after childbirth. I am married with two children, Hamish and Isobel.
