James was born in Adelaide and studied medicine at the University of Adelaide. He graduated in 1990 with a MBBS. After working for several years in Perth, in 1995, he returned to Adelaide and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practice
James joined St Agnes Surgery in 2000 and became one of the partners in 2001.
He is involved in all aspects of general practice but has a particular interest in paediatric and geriatric medicine. James is married to Sarah and they have 4 children. His interests include music, ballroom dancing and playing golf.
