Dr James Anderson (Respiratory and Sleep Medicine Specialist)

Dr James Anderson graduated from the University of Queensland in 2008 and was admitted to the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2017. He undertook specialty training in Brisbane and on the Sunshine Coast. Subsequently he completed fellowships in Sleep Medicine at The Prince Charles Hospital and in the Advanced Lung Disease Unit at Fiona Stanley Hospital in Perth.

Dr Anderson is a Staff Specialist at Sunshine Coast University Hospital and Senior Lecturer with Griffith University School of Medicine. In 2018 he was awarded a research scholarship by the Pulmonary Hypertension Society of Australia and New Zealand and in 2019 completed a Master of Biostatistics through the University of Sydney. He has commenced private practice at Pulse Oceanside Medical at Birtinya. He is experienced with all respiratory and sleep disorders including bronchoscopy and pleural procedures.

Dr Anderson is a member of the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand, Australasian Sleep Association, Asia Pacific Society of Respirology, European Respiratory Society and the Pulmonary Hypertension Society of Australia and New Zealand.
