I was born in Brisbane and am married with 2 small children. I did Psychology as my undergraduate degree at the University of Queensland, before completing my post-graduate degree in Medicine at the same University in 2004. I worked in a number of different hospital specialty rotations, before commencing GP training in 2009. My first year of GP training was in Rockhampton, it was a great place to start as there are very few resident specialists so I managed a wide range of conditions.

I also did on-call covering the local private hospitals. I moved back to Brisbane in 2010 and I did my final 6 months of GP training at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Brisbane, which was great experience. I sat my exam at the end of 2010 and was awarded my FRACGP in April 2011. I also completed a Diploma in Child Health from Westmead Hospital in 2010. I joined The Barracks Medical in July 2013 and find it a supportive work environment with a patient group that is motivated to be well.

My areas of interest are women’s health, antenatal care, paediatrics and skin cancer medicine.
