Dr Ian Walsh has been a doctor for over ten years and has been practicing as a GP for eight. He has also been a registered pharmacist for over twenty years! Dr Walsh received his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Queensland and his Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Sydney. Ian has been with SmartClinics Chermside and Ascot Medical centres since 2011, he has also worked at the Mater Hospital, and as a GP registrar in Kingaroy. Dr Walsh has a long list of very loyal patients who have described him as being a warm, compassionate and caring Doctor. His special interests include workplace health and rehabilitation, skin checks and excisions, caridovascular risk assessment, chronic disease management, minor surgery and procedural work, antenatal care and post-natal care of mother and baby, men's health, children's health (paediatrics), elderly health (geriatric), women's health including reproductive health, musculoskeletal medicine, minor trauma (emergency medicine), occupational medicine, depression and anxiety (mental health), diabetes care, metabolic diseases, nutrition and weight management, palliative care, sexual health, travel health and vaccinations (e.g. yellow fever) and asthma care.
