Dr Edmunds completed undergraduate study at Sydney University, and further training through the Australian Orthopaedic Association training Programme. He completed a Fellowship in Hand Surgery at Sydney Hospital and St. Lukes Hospital, and a Fellowship in Hand Surgery at Harvard University, Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA, USA. He is currently appointed at Sydney Adventist Hospital, Hornsby Kuring-gai Hospital, and San Day Surgery Hornsby. Dr Edmunds has special interests in hand and wrist trauma, basal thumb arthritis and Dupuytren's disease (surgery & collagenase injection treatment).
Research :
Dr Edmunds' current research projects are : Cortisone injection for trigger finger and de Quervain's ; Intra medallory nailing of meta carpal fractures ; long term follow-up of patients with Dupuytren's treated by the "New Surgical Approach" ; long term follow-up of patients with wrist arthritis treated with the STPI prosthesis ; Hand surgery on patients taking Zarelto or Pradaxa.
