I have particular interests in the assessment, management and ongoing care of the broad range of conditions affecting vision and hearing. I am also interested in diseases affecting the eyelids and conjunctiva along with external and middle ear including congenital, structural, traumatic, infective, allergic, metabolic, autoimmune and neoplastic problems.
My aim is to improve outcomes for patients with skin cancer and non cancerous skin conditions. Through consultation and assessment including the use of dermoscopy, dermal imaging and photo records I aim to inform the patient, advise about options for treatment and in partnership with the patient, develop management strategies using appropriate medical and/or surgical modalities.
I am intrested in musculoskeletal medicing in general and degenerative and inflammatory arthritis in particular, along with connective tissue diseases, spinal pain disorders, metabolic bone disorders and osteoporosis.
I work closely with allied health practitioners including nurses, physical therapists such as physioterapists, osteopaths and exercise physiologists along with occupational therapists and podiatrists to assist in skin care and musculoskeletal pain management. I refer and liase with clinicans in rheumatology, dermatology dermossurgery, neurology, immunology, neurosurgery and orthopaedics to achieve effective outcomes for patients.
Overall I see my role as keeping patients as happy, healthy and actively independent as possible.
