Professor Hayden Homer is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with extensive experience in fertility treatment. Hayden believes it is important for patients to understand the underlying reasons for their fertility problems and their various treatment options, placing a strong emphasis patient education. With strong clinical and research experience, Hayden has expertise in all aspects of fertility treatment and surgery. He provides patients with tailored evidence-based strategies addressing their individual needs to maximise success rates. While his approach to treatment is data-driven, Hayden is a caring, compassionate specialist who takes the time to get to know his patients. Following specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology, Hayden undertook subspecialisation in reproductive medicine and surgery. He held a number of respected positions in the reproductive medicine field in the UK, before relocating to Australia in 2014. Hayden now holds the position of inaugural Christopher Chen Chair in Reproductive Medicine at the University of Queensland, and heads the Oocyte Biology Research Lab at UQ’s Centre for Clinical Research.
