A graduate of the University of London, Dr. Smith is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists. In 2001 he completed a Fellowship in Mohs Surgery in Perth and has become a Fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery. He has practiced in the UK from 2002-09 specialising in Mohs surgery and facial skin cancer surgery before returning to Perth in 2009. He has an MD from the University of London based on research achievements. Currently he is Chairman of the Mohs surgery committee of the Australasian College of Dermatologists.
