Hamish Meldrum came to Sydney from New Zealand back in 1995 for six months and hasn’t left. He did a bit of HIV medicine before heading out to Dubbo and then to Bourke as a rural GP. He was involved in aboriginal health and worked as a GP obstetrician. Hamish is the current president of the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine. He also had a hand in starting a few medical centres mainly in rural and remote areas and is still involved in the management of the clinical governance of these centres.
