Clinical Associate Professor Hart MB.BS. MRCP (UK). FRACP. FCCP. is a Consultant Physician in Respiratory & Sleep Medicine.
After studying Medicine at the UNSW, he graduated with honours in 1975, and underwent further training in the UK. Dr Hart came to Wollongong in 1983 working for the Illawarra Area Health Service, and in 1987 was appointed Director of Respiratory Medicine.
He is currently Head of Respiratory Medicine for the Illawarra Shellharbour Local Health District.
In 1994 Dr Hart set up the first Sleep Laboratory available in the Illawarra for Adults, and in partnership with a local Paediatrician formed the first combined Adult & Paediatric Sleep Laboratory in the Illawarra.
Dr Hart has been caring for his Adult Sleep Patients with their problems relating to sleep for over 20 years, and continues to do so in his new location.
Dr Hart is a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and sits on the Medical Authority of Dust Diseases Board NSW Australia
