I have moved to this beautiful part of the world from Sydney. I completed a Bachelor of Medical Science and Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery through Sydney University, graduating in 2007. Following this I have worked and studied throughout Australia and Internationally, before settling here with my son and husband.
I have worked in hospital inpatient wards, Emergency Departments and in General Practice in Sydney, Wollongong, Darwin and Katherine. Following this I worked as a Volunteer, treating Burmese and Karen Refugees and training Medics, at Mae Tao Clinic on the Thai-Burmese border. I completed my FRACGP and have obtained additional qualifications since becoming a GP. I have a Diploma of Child Health from Westmead Childrens Hospital and a Diploma of Tropical Medicine through Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (UK).
In terms of General Practice, I have extensive experience working in Aboriginal Health having worked at the Aboriginal Medical Service in Redfern for years. I have also worked in high risk Adolescent Health and have significant experience in Aged Care.
I am very passionate about General Practice and I love my job. The continuity of care for patients and the ability to provide holistic and preventative health care is what attracted me to the profession. I enjoy caring for all age ranges, from newborns to the wise. I love looking after families and providing Antenatal Care for pregnant women. My interest areas also include Mental Health and Sexual Health
