Dr Genevieve Casey completed her medical residency at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, and commenced dermatology specialist training in 2011 in New South Wales. In 2012, she was awarded the Australasian College of Dermatologists Research Fellowship to complete two years of her dermatology training at Oxford University Hospitals, England. During this time in England, she also completed a six-month Honorary Clinical Fellowship in Paediatric Dermatology at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. Returning to Australia, she completed her final years of dermatology training in Adelaide, and commenced in private practice with her father, Dr Terry Casey, in Brisbane in 2016. Genevieve returned to Birmingham Children’s Hospital in 2016/2017 and completed the 12-month British Society of Paediatric Dermatology accredited Clinical Fellowship in Paediatric Dermatology.
Genevieve continues to co-author major dermatology textbooks including Lebwohl’s Treatment of Skin Disease and Harper’s Textbook of Paediatric Dermatology.
