Dr Ganesh Ramanathan is a consultant Nephrologist and General Physician currently employed as a Visiting Medical Officer Physician in Goulburn Base Hospital.
He studied Medicine in University of Melbourne. He worked as a doctor in Victoria, Northern Territory and New South Wales. He completed Nephrology training in East Coast Renal Network which includes Royal Northshore Hospital, St George Hospital, The Wollongong Hospital and Prince of Wales Hospital. He obtained the fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physician (FRACP) in 2017.
Ganesh is actively involved in teaching and clinical research and has published peer-reviewed articles in Nephrology journals. He also has interest in telemedicine and set up the Renal Telemedicine programme in Royal Darwin Hospital and is a Certified Health Informatician Australasia.
Ganesh’s scope of practice encompasses all aspect of Nephrology and General Medicine which include management of Acute Kidney Injury (AKI), Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), hypertension, electrolyte abnormalities, haemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and renal transplant.
Dr Ramanathan is also interested in management of patients with complex and chronic medical problems. He is really interested in providing individualised care and work closely with you and your General Practitioner to ensure best medical care delivered to you.
