Dr Mackie has been a consultant nephrologist for over 14 years. She is currently a senior staff specialist at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick and is the former Head of Department. She is a conjoint senior lecturer at the University of N.S.W. Dr Mackie is the Chair of the Australian Paediatric Nephrology Association. She graduated from the University of Sydney where she also obtained a PhD in Medicine in 2002. Dr Mackie has also undertaken particular training in the field of kidney transplantation at Stanford University, California. Her research interests include clinical kidney transplantation, SLE (lupus) and hypertension.
