Fazeela completed both science and medical degrees with the University of Sydney. She then worked as a hospital medical officer in disciplines pertinent to general practice, including general surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, psychiatry, paediatrics, geriatrics, oncology, addiction medicine and emergency medicine.

During her specialization in general practice, she has gained experience working in both community practice and nursing homes in various regions of Sydney – including Chester Hill, Fairfield, Leichhardt and Maroubra, prior to her joining the MyHealth team. She is currently a general practice registrar in the last few months of completing her requirements to obtain Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Whilst working part-time clinically, she is undertaking a research project with the University of New South Wales and is appointed as an Associate Lecturer with the School of Public Health and Community Medicine.

She enjoys educating and empowering people with the knowledge to understand and manage their health. She also believes in the importance of lifelong learning in medicine, and has completed additional certificates in Advanced Paediatric Life Support (APLS), Implanon insertion/ removal, GP Mental Health Skills Training (Dealing with Depression – Black Dog Institute) and FPAA Sexual and Reproductive Health – Theory.
