Dr Sticklen joined Port Stephens Medical Centre in March 29. With over 29 years broad experience, Dr STicklen graduated MBBS from Queensland Uni in 1985 and is a fellow of FRACGP. He did an elective term in PNG Highlands in 1984 & more recently conducted volunteer work in Cambodia for International Childrens Care. He has spent 4 years in the Qld public hospital system then 11 years in country/rural practice and more recently 14 years in outer metropolitan practice . Dr Sticklen has experience in virtually all areas of GP, but has particular interests in skin lesions (incl minor surgery), IBS/ food intolerances incl FODMAPS diets etc , aged care, chronic fatigue, complex disease management and chronic pain / chronic musculoskeletal disorder management and lifestyle modification coaching. He is also experienced in mental health assessment and plans etc.
