Dr Emerik Trinajstic is an experienced lower limb orthopaedic surgeon specialising in Hip and knee replacement and Foot and ankle surgery.
He is a no gap provider and operates at St John of God Mt Lawley Hospital.
Dr Trinajstic was born and raised in Sydney. He graduated from the University Sydney and moved to Western Australia in 1990 to undertake training in Orthopaedics. During this time he we was also enrolled in Masters of biotechnology at UWA.
Dr Trinajstic completed his orthopaedic training in 1996 and undertook a fellowship in spine surgery with Richard Vaughan and Peter Woodland. He was a Senior lecturer with the University of Western Australia from 1996-2001. He was appointed at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital during this time, while also working at Hollywood Private Hospital performing primarily spine surgery and trauma.
Dr Trinajstic commenced working at Joondalup Health Campus in September 2000 as a consultant Orthopaedic surgeon.
He has have held an appointment as director of orthopaedic training in WA, was member of the board of the first bone and tissue bank.
