Liz recognised her passion for working with children early in her life, while growing up in rural New South Wales. Liz completed her medic
al degree at the University of Newcastle, before undertaking paediatric specialty training at John Hunter Children’s Hospital and Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick. Liz gained her fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2015. Subsequent to this, Liz has begun a research PhD, investigating paediatric food allergy, whilst also working part time at John Hunter Children’s Hospital.
Liz is passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of children and seeks to work with families to help children reach their potential. Liz enjoys working with children of all ages with simple to complex issues.
Liz is also interested in medical education and continues to provide education through her roles as a Conjoint Lecturer with the University of Newcastle and as an instructor for the Australian Paediatric Life Support group.
Liz is a mother of a young boy and is learning in a new way how amazing (and sometimes challenging) children can be.
