Dr Eliza Hawkes is a consultant oncologist and adjunct senior lecturer at Monash University, with an interest in lymphoma, melanoma and gastrointestinal cancers. Having completed her medical oncology training in Melbourne, she returned from a 5-year senior clinical research fellowship in lymphoma and gastrointestinal cancers at the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust cancer hospital in London to become the Clinical Lead in Lymphoma at Austin Hospital and Eastern Health. Dr Hawkes’ clinical practice is founded on her experience in a world-class cancer centre and her ongoing involvement in clinical trials and collaborative translational research. She is the lead lymphoma clinician and a melanoma physician at Eastern Health, a visiting lymphoma and GI expert at the Austin Health Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre. She has published a wide variety of peer-reviewed papers and abstracts and is a peer reviewer and editorial review board member for several oncology journals, is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, a member of the European Society of Medical Oncology, American Society of Clinical Oncology, Australian Leukaemia and Lymphoma Group, Australian Gastrointestinal Cancers Trial Group and the American Society of Hematology
