Dr Casey graduated from Charles Sturt University with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Imaging) with the University Medal in 2001. He worked for a number of years in radiography in Australia, England and Ireland before completing his MBBS at Wollongong University in 2012 with distinction. He completed his postgraduate hospital training in Perth with rotations in emergency medicine, psychiatry, paediatrics, palliative care, cardiology and geriatrics and was nominated twice for Intern of the Year during his first hospital year. He started working in general practice in 2015 at Culburra Beach General Practice, and now is looking forward to settling in Wollongong. In his spare time Dr Casey enjoys playing saxophone, guitar, piano, and keeps active by playing tennis, swimming and surfing.
