Dr Dinesh Vignarajah completed his undergraduate medical degree at James Cook University in Townsville in 2006. In 2011 he commenced as a Radiation Oncology registrar within the Queensland network, training at The Townsville Hospital, The Princess Alexandria Hospital and The Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, and attaining fellowship in 2016.

In 2016 he was awarded the prestigious Windeyer Fellowship, undertaken at The Mount Vernon Cancer Centre in London, United Kingdom. There he participated in further clinical research in the areas of genitourinary, gynaecological, haematological and breast malignancies, with a focus on adaptive radiotherapy, HDR/LDR brachytherapy and stereotactic radiotherapy.

Dr Vignarajah is currently a radiation oncologist at Icon Cancer Centre Maroochydore, and has a staff specialist appointment at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital. He has an interest in research and teaching, holding an academic appointment with the University of Queensland. His main interest areas include gynaecological cancer, genitourinary cancer and central nervous system (CNS) malignancies.
