Diana Robinson is a Sport and Exercise Physician with more than 20 years of clinical experience. She obtained the Fellowship of the Australasian College of Sports Physicians (ACSP) in 1995. She has a strong interest in conditions of the shoulder, hip, pelvis, knee, foot and ankle and how issues of technique, equipment, biomechanics and training errors contribute to injury. Her focus is to ensure that every patient, no matter what level of activity they perform, has a safe and effective return to sport, exercise and work. Currently she is involved in research in, and the commercial application of, Stem Cell treatment for conditions such as Osteoarthritis and Tendinopathy. She lectures regularly on the science and practical process of Stem Cell treatment for these conditions.

Diana is currently the Project Manager for the ACSP Specialist Training Program Education Projects, was the Chairman of Training for the ACSP from 2005 -2010 and a member of the Board of Censors for many years. In 2010-11, she revised the ACSP Curriculum. She has recently been appointed by the Federal Minister for Health to the Anti-Doping Rules Violation Panel (ADRVP).

Diana has extensive experience with elite athletes. She has been an Australian Team Doctor for the Commonwealth Games and Medical Director of Triathlon at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. She was Medical Director of Triathlon Australia 1993-2002. She has been involved with the International Triathlon Union (ITU) Doping Commission and the ITU Medical Commission. She has been the Medical director of the Uncle Toby'’s Surf Life Saving Ironman Series, the Devondale Women'’s surf lifesaving series, the Triathlon Grand Prix, and many international World Cup and World Championship Triathlons. She has also worked with Rugby League, Rugby Union, Track Cycling, Women'’s Hockey, Judo, Rowing, Tennis, Gymnastics, Sailing, Ballet and Modern Dance at an elite level. Diana was the Warringah Rugby Union Chief Medical Officer for 7 years. Diana has been the Medical Director for the "So You Think You Can Dance" TV show and is the Honorary Doctor for the Leichhardt Rowing club.

Diana has an interest in women in sport and has been a member of a Ministerial Taskforce for Women in Sport and the Active Girls Role Model Program aimed at curbing the sport drop-out rate by teenage girls. She has particular expertise in the issues affecting the exercising woman, such as menstrual disorders and disordered eating behaviours. She co-wrote the Sports Medicine Australia Position Statement: the Benefits and Risks of Exercise During Pregnancy, as well as co-authoring a number of papers and original research articles published in peer reviewed journals and/or presented at major conferences.

Given her wide experience, Diana excels in issues relating to the endurance athlete, particularly with regard to both acute and overuse injuries, and the medical problems that affect these athletes. As a sports physician she has an expertise with all musculoskeletal injuries, including those that affect the spine and thorax, particularly related to posture and truncal stability.
