Dr Surjana’s special interests include Medical Dermatology, Women’s and Paediatric Dermatology. Dr Surjana is a general dermatologist with an interest in the treatment of psoriasis, eczema, acne, cutaneous malignancies as well as vulval diseases and paediatric dermatology.
After graduating in Medicine from the University of New of Wales, Dr Surjana trained in Queensland and is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists. She has worked at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital, Greenslopes Private Hospital, Queensland Institute of Dermatology and Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital.
Dr Surjana completed her PhD in Dermatology at the University of Sydney in 2013 after undertaking research into the role of nicotinamide in skin cancer prevention, her findings being published in international dermatology journals.
Dr Surjana is an Associate Lecturer with the University of Queensland and is involved in lecturing and teaching medical students at Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital, dermatology registrars and residents.
