Dr Benedict was born in Sri Lanka and raised in the UK from the age of 11. Dr Benedict completed a Bachelor of Science whilst also studying medicine at St Georges Hospital Medical School. After completing his studies he trained as a General Practitioner in the UK where he met his wife Anna. They both moved to Australia for one year, then returned to the UK for an additional year. Dr Benedict and his wife now permanently reside in Australia with their two children.
