grew up in the UK and trained at the Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine in London, graduating with MB.BS in 1986.  I passed my GP exams (MRCGP) in 1991 before moving to Australia with my husband, Dr Robert Wiles and son, Tim then 4 months old.  In 1992 I worked for 6 months in Canberra before achieving registration in NSW and started working at the Sharp Street Surgery in 1993 after our second child Amy was born.  We had 2 more children, Alex in 1995 and Lucy in 1998.   At present I work part-time, 3 days a week, and have an interest in Mental Health and Counselling, having studied through UNE and graduating with Graduate Diploma in Counselling in 2010.  I am also a FRACGP and FACRRM (Fellow of Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine).  As well, I have experience in CBT and person-centred therapy and in helping people with depression, anxiety and relationship problems. Away from work I enjoy singing, music, walking in the bush and cooking, but finding the adjustment to cooking for two quite challenging as our youngest child left home this year!  I also love curling up with a good book.
