Dr David Tsang graduated from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada, with a Bachelor of Science in 2000. During his time in Canada, he received several scholarships and awards, including being one of the top fifteen students in the Province of British Columbia. His interests include social determinants of health, health policy, chronic disease and risk factor management. He completed his advance cardiology training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. After obtaining his Fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians as a Specialist Cardiologist in 2014, he completed additional training in cardiac imaging, specialising in stress testing and echocardiography. He currently holds a public appointment as a Consultant Cardiologist at the Western Hospital and Sunshine Hospital. He is also a part time Clinical Teacher for the University of Melbourne Medical School, an Education Supervisor for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, and is involved in teaching doctors who are training to become internal medicine specialists.
