Dr David Thomson is an Interventional and General Cardiologist. Dr Thomson is the Director of the Coronary Catheter Laboratory and Deputy Head of the Cardiology Department at Joondalup Health Campus.

Dr Thomson completed his original medical training (MBBS) in 2001 at The University of Western Australia with basic physician training through Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and St John of God Hospital, Subiaco. His 3 years of core Cardiology training was then undertaken at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, followed by 12 months of Interventional Cardiology sub-specialty training at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. Further sub-specialty training was then undertaken with 12 months at Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria, British Columbia (Canada), an internationally renowned radial access service.
