Dr David Rutherford is a renal physician. He studied medicine at the University of Newcastle, and completed his residency at Tamworth Base Hospital. He completed his basic physician training and Fellowship examinations at St Vincent’s Hospital and Liverpool Hospital in Sydney. He then completed advanced training in nephrology at Liverpool, Royal Prince Alfred and Westmead Hospitals. Dr Rutherford’s training covered general nephrology, dialysis, and transplantation. His practice includes assessment of potential live kidney donors, care of transplant patients, acute and chronic kidney disease, and hypertension. Dr Rutherford works as a Consultant Physician with Albury Wodonga Health, looking after patients with a broad range of acute medical problems.
