Dr. David Cooke trained at the University of Queensland, practicing in rural QLD before travelling to the UK for further training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Paediatrics. When he returned to Australia, he returned to Queensland and did further training in adult medicine and Geriatrics. Eventually, Tasmania called to him and he relocated here with his family in 1991.
As well as the broad scope in General Practice, Dr. Cooke’s special interests lay in Women’s Health, Paediatrics, Skin Cancer and Palliative Care. Dr. Cooke also has admission rights to the Proviate Hospital and Melwood palliative care unit.
In his spare time, Dr. Cooke enjoys spending time with his family, including his 4 small grandchildren.
