A/Prof David Pryor is an experienced radiation oncologist Icon Cancer Centre Greenslopes and Icon Cancer Centre Redland. He specialises in the management of urological cancer, gastrointestinal cancer, thoracic cancer, soft tissue sarcoma and skin cancers and the use of highly focused stereotactic radiation therapy and palliative radiotherapy.
He is actively involved in education, research and innovation through his roles as the director of radiation oncology training at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, adjunct associate professor at the Australian Prostate Cancer Research Centre-Queensland, QUT, senior lecturer with the University of Queensland, chair of the QLD steering committee for the Prostate Cancer Outcomes Registry (PCOR-ANZ), chair of the Genitourinary Committee of the Trans-Tasman Radiation Oncology Group (TROG), and as a member of the scientific advisory committee of the Australian Sarcoma Study Group.
He is the national chair of a study evaluating the role of stereotactic radiotherapy in oligometastatic prostate, breast and lung cancers and is part of the trial management group for a number of other collaborative trials in prostate, bladder, kidney, gastrointestinal and soft tissue tumours.
