Dr David Nichols (Paediatrician)

Dr Nichols completed his medical degree at the University of Tasmania in Hobart in 2005. He began training in Paediatrics at the Royal Hobart Hospital before moving to Brisbane to complete this at the Royal Children’s and Queensland Children’s Hospital. He also worked in the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospitals’ Neonatal intensive care nursery as the Senior Registrar.

Dr Nichols provides quality and compassionate care to his young patients and their families. He sees patients in his private clinic and also looks after newborn babies in the wards and special care nursery at Buderim Private Hospital. He is an associate lecturer with the University of Queensland and has completed a Master of Public Health.

Dr Nichols consults on all areas of general paediatrics, including children with disabilities needing complex multidisciplinary care. He sees newborns and follows up premature babies. Dr Nichols also sees children with behavioural, learning, and developmental difficulties. He also sees children with gastrointestinal and neurological disorders. Dr Nichols is accredited in Advanced Paediatric Life Support and Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation.
