Dr Links (MBBS, MS, FRACS) is an Upper GI and Bariatric surgeon with a minimally invasive surgical interest. He was awarded his medical degree with Honours from UNSW in 2002 and undertook general surgical training from 2007 to 2011, based at Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Dr Links undertook further subspecialty training, completing a three year ANZGOSA accredited fellowship. This included extensive experience in minimally invasive foregut surgery and bariatric surgery at Concord Hospital. Dr Links joined the BMI team in 2015, and performs laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (also known as gastric sleeve), supported by the BMI Lifestyle programme which includes our team of nurses, dietitians, psychologists and exercise physiologists, to optimize the long-term results for those people considering obesity and metabolic surgery.
