Dr Graham is an Australian trained orthopaedic surgeon who sub-specialises in hand, wrist and microsurgery for paediatrics and in adults. Dr Graham’s training and experience includes acute and reconstructive surgery for the hand and wrist; including trauma, fracture management, tendon surgery including tendon transfers, nerve surgery, microvascular and free flap surgery, as well as elective surgeries to manage conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, de Quervains, arthritis and Dupuytren’s disease.

Dr Graham consults out of the Gold Coast Centre for Bone and Joint Surgery at John Flynn Private Hospital, and also has a visiting medical officer specialist position at the Gold Coast University Hospital and Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital.

Dr Graham graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) and went on to also complete a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at UQ. He subsequently completed his advanced training in Orthopaedic Surgery in NSW.Following orthopaedic training, Dr Graham completed the Hand, Wrist and Microsurgery fellowship at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney.


About Dr Graham B.Phty(Hons) MB BS FRACS(Orth) FAOrthA PFET(Hand Surgery) Internationally, Dr Graham has completed further training as a visiting Hand Wrist and Microsurgery fellow at the Ganga Hospital, Colambatore, India, University of California, Irvine/ Shriners Hospital Los Angeles and Children’s Hospital of Orange County.

Dr Graham has also travelled to visit and work with hand surgery professors in Niigata, Japan and Santander/Madrid, Spain.

Dr Graham worked as a consultant Hand Wrist and Microsurgeon at Sydney/ Sydney Eye Hospital – Sydney Hospital Hand Unit, as well as at Fairfield Hospital –South Western Sydney Hand Centre prior to returning to Queensland.

Dr Graham has a strong interest in teaching and research, and holds academic title with the University of Queensland, Griffith University and Bond University medical schools. Dr Graham has many peer reviewed published research papers in Orthopaedic and Hand surgery. Dr Graham also presents at local, national and international hand surgery conferences.

Dr Graham also regularly travels overseas on Orthopaedic outreach trips, with the aim of providing quality health care to all, and to provide teaching of the local surgeons and surgical trainees. Such trips include Nepal, Fiji and Cambodia.
