I am a female GP, Vocationally trained in Australia-3 years of General Practice training. I have a Doctor’s degree in General Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine Bucharest, Romania obtained in 1989. I completed my internship in Burnie, Tasmania in 1996 and worked as a Medical Officer in the Royal Brisbane Hospital and the Princess Alexandra hospital in 1997 and 1998. Working in General Practice since June 1998, I obtained my Royal Australian College of General Practitioners Fellowship in February 2001. Since obtaining Fellowship, I worked exclusively in General Practice in Brisbane, Canungra and for the last 7 years at Highlands Health. I have an interest in Skin Cancer Medicine and I was the first Registrar in Queensland to do a special interest term in Skin Cancer Medicine, working 6 months in a Skin Cancer Clinic in Logan, Qld. I enjoy all aspects of General Practice and still maintain my interest in Skin Cancer Medicine.

My approach is working with the patient for the best outcome for their health rather than just me working for the patient and i do not reduce the patient’s to an illness or disease. I never stopped learning and practice has been my best teacher. The most rewarding aspect of General Practice for me has been having the privilege to journey along with my patient’s and see positive changes in their life and health over the years.
