Dan studied and practised medicine in the North West of England, and moved to Australia within months of completing GP training. Before medical school he studied and practised law, and during his undergraduate medical training was awarded a Wellcome Trust scholarship to undertake a Master’s degree in the History of Science – submitting his dissertation on representations of nuclear weapons in Cold War-era television drama. He is nowhere near as serious as this summary might suggest, and very much enjoys fine wine, good food, computer games and cricket. Dan loves his work – not to mention his cats – and is particularly interested in dermatology and mental health
