Dr Robaei graduated from medicine with Honours (UNSW), and subsequently completed a Master of Public Health, as well as a PhD in ophthalmology. She completed her ophthalmic surgical training at Sydney Eye Hospital, and underwent additional fellowship training in complex cataract surgery and corneal transplantation at the world-renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital, in London.
Dr Robaei is a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney. She has authored extensively in the international ophthalmic literature, and continues to supervise postgraduate students completing higher degrees in ophthalmology. She also teaches ophthalmic surgery to training eye specialists in her role as a consultant ophthalmic surgeon at Westmead Hospital.
