Dr Dana Alexandrescu grew up in Romania and moved to South Africa where she trained and received her medical degree at WITS University. Dana practiced medicine in South Africa for several years before moving to Perth and working as a medical registrar at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. She did her FRACGP training in rural NSW, ranging from local practice to hospital to nursing homes. After receiving her fellowship Dana worked across Australia for 11 years before joining our team at Alive & Kicking.
Dana is interested in family medicine, paediatrics, women's health, chronic disease management, rheumatology and oncology.
She is qualified to see Worker's Compensation and DVA patients, insert and remove implanons and to perform simple procedures in skin cancer medicine.
She is a member of the National Rural Faculty of Australian General Practitioners and the RACGP Faculty of Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander Health.
