Dr Damien Mergard joined Morningside General Practice Clinic in 2015.
Originally from Bundaberg, he graduated from the University of Queensland in 1996 and has two postgraduate qualifications, with FRACGP and FACRRM.
His particular interests are in general family medicine, chronic disease management, Aboriginal Health and emergency care.
Prior to his return to Brisbane, he worked extensively in rural and remote Australia, providing general practice and emergency medicine care at small country hospitals. He has been actively involved in teaching and in the assessment of post-graduate registrars.
He enjoys trying to sort out medical problems and working with his patients to achieve health outcomes.
