Mr Colin Whitewood originally graduated as a Physiotherapist, but his interest in musculo-skeletal medicine inspired him to return to university and complete his training as a doctor, specialising in orthopaedic surgery. He graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Applied Science and a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery.
Mr Whitewood obtained Post-Graduate Fellowship Training in Lower Limb Joint Replacement Surgery in London (Ontario) and has also completed a Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgery Fellowship at the Royal Childrens’ Hospital in Melbourne. His interests include all aspects of knee surgery in the paediatric and adult populations, including arthroscopic and joint replacement surgery.
Mr Whitewood holds current appointments at Perth Children’s Hospital and St John of God Subiaco Hospital. He also visits at Hedland Health Campus and Karratha.
