Colin Clement received his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Sydney, Australia. He has also completed a Bachelor of Science (Honours) and PhD at the same institution. He undertook ophthalmology training at the Sydney Eye Hospital followed by glaucoma fellowship training in Bath (UK), London (UK) and Geneva (Switzerland).
Currently Colin is a staff specialist in the glaucoma unit at Sydney Eye Hospital and a senior clinical lecturer at the University of Sydney. He chairs the associate advisory committee of the International Society of Glaucoma Surgery and is a member of the expert advisory committee for Glaucoma Australia. In addition, Colin is an associate editor for the Journal of Current Glaucoma Practice and a glaucoma section editor for the Asia-Pacific Journal of Ophthalmology. He has clinical research interests in glaucoma surgery techniques and outcomes, and has authored six book chapters and more than 30 original research articles.
