I graduated from the University of Western Australia. My other certificates I hold are PhD, Master of Public Health obtain at Harvard, I am a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), Fellow of the Australian Faculty of Public Health Medicine (FAFPHM) and Fellowship of the Australasian Faculty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (FAFOEM).

I have 48 years of experience in general practice and have previously worked at Princess Margaret Hospital for Children for 20 years in the role as Emergency Department GP at weekends. I have worked extensively in Papua and New Guinea and many asian countries and am currently working at Curtin University and Quinns Mindarie Super Clinic.

I chose a career that included general practice as I enjoy helping people, but my special interest is infant nutrition both here in Australia and across the world. I undertake a lot of medical research in nutrition and epidemiology and have published many articles and books in these fields.

When I am not working or involved in research projects I love listening to music, going to the opera, wandering art galleries and spending time with my beautiful grandchildren.
