Chris is a general paediatrician with interest and experience in general medical paediatrics, developmental paediatrics and behavioural paediatrics. He has undertaken his paediatric training locally in Newcastle and the greater Hunter region, after finishing his medical degree at the University of Newcastle. He now shares his time between Lake Macquarie Paediatrics and the John Hunter Children’s Hospital.

Chris chose paediatric medicine as he enjoys gaining understanding of challenges for children through their eyes, in the context of their families. He finds it very rewarding to help with simple and complex issues to improve health outcomes of children and young people.

Chris also enjoys medical education, and takes part in training of medical students, paediatric trainees and medical staff, particularly on topics of acute paediatric life support.

Outside of work, Chris loves spending time with his family and young children. He is also madly interested in sports and plays soccer himself. In his days of better fitness, he has even represented Australia in the World Medical Football Championships.
