Dr Christopher Smith graduated from the University of Queensland and went on to train in General Surgery in Brisbane and then in Cardiothoracic Surgery at The Prince Charles Hospital Brisbane, and Austin Hospital Melbourne. He subsequently completed a Postgraduate Fellowship at the University of Virginia Medical Centre Charlottesville, USA.

Chris returned to Australia as a Cardiac Surgeon at Princess Alexandra Hospital (2000-2006) and has been at Greenslopes Private Hospital since 2003 where he currently sits as chair of Cardiothoracic Surgery.

Chris is married with three children, and is a keen aviator with a private pilot licence and a multi-engine command instrument rating.

Christopher's main practice is at Greenslopes Private Hospital and he also consults in Toowoomba Ipswich and Hervey Bay on a monthly basis.
