Doctor Chris Rook is a Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners. After completing a medically-related Science degree, Chris went on to study medicine and undertook his internships in the United Kingdom. He completed rotations in Psychiatry, Rehabilitation medicine, Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Dermatology, before moving into General Practice. Chris has particular interests in skin health, student health and holistic and evidence-based medicine. He qualified as a Doctor in London and then went on to complete his General Practice training in Oxford, where he spent many years as a General Practitioner. Oxford is a thriving international community and provided invaluable experience in dealing with a wide variety of health problems. While in Oxford he pioneered (with a colleague) a web-based database to link local non-principal General Practitioners with employment opportunities and meetings for teaching sessions.

Dealing with so many international travellers, the lure of Australia proved irresistible and he moved initially to Mount Gambier to a teaching General Practice clinic. Impressed with the warmer climate and multi-cultural vibrancy of the Australian community, he decided to settle here in Adelaide.
