Dr Chris Bryant studied medicine at the University of Queensland, graduating in 1986. He subsequently trained as a Rural Generalist doing Obstetrics and Anaesthetics, obtaining Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, Diploma of Obstetrics from the Australian College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and Diploma of Anaesthetics from the Royal College of Anaesthetists in the UK. He returned to study and completed specialist training in Anaesthetics with Fellowship of the Royal College of Anaesthetists in the UK and Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists. He has been registered as a Specialist Anaesthetist in Australia since 2004. He is a member of the Northside Anaesthesia team and is also Deputy Director of Anaesthesia for the Mater Hospital. He has a particular interest in Obstetric Anaesthesia and Analgesia.
